Freshness, (est.) labels & quotes
What updates when, and how a projection turns into a confirmed date.
Daily rebuild
The calendar is rebuilt automatically once a day: earnings schedules re-sync (IR announcements + Yahoo Finance), the current week's macro times and forecast/previous values are re-checked against the live market-calendar feed, and Treasury's auction schedule is re-pulled from FiscalData. Historical context notes are curated by hand and updated as regimes change.
From (est.) to confirmed
An (est.) date is a projection from official patterns or an early calendar entry. It loses the pill when its source confirms: a company announces the exact reporting date, an agency publishes the release time, or the weekly feed carries the confirmed schedule. Far-future months (next year's CPI dates, for example) intentionally stay estimated until the agencies publish — a calendar that pretends to know those would be lying to you.
Times shown on the site are US Eastern (ET).
Market quotes
Quote boxes on stock and event pages show delayed market data from Yahoo Finance, with Stooq as an automatic fallback. Quotes are indicative, not executable prices, and are fetched server-side on each page view.
