Macro, central banks & auctions

Official schedules first, a live feed for the current week, and clear labels for anything still projected.

Official release calendars

The year's macro backbone comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (CPI, PPI, Employment Situation), the Bureau of Economic Analysis (GDP, PCE) and the U.S. Census Bureau (retail sales, wholesale trade, inventories). Where an agency has published its schedule, we take it verbatim.

The current week

For the coming week we re-check every macro event daily against ForexFactory's public calendar feed: confirmed times, consensus forecasts and previous values all come from this cross-check. When a feed event and our schedule disagree, the feed's confirmed data replaces the projection — you'll see the date tighten and the (est.) pill drop as the week approaches.

Same-moment sub-releases are merged into one event so the calendar stays readable: CPI m/m, Core CPI m/m and CPI y/y appear as a single "CPI" event with the components noted.

Treasury auctions

Note, bond and TIPS auctions come from the official U.S. Treasury schedule via FiscalData — the department's own data API. We carry coupon auctions up to ~5 weeks out; weekly bill auctions are omitted as financing noise.

FOMC & Fed speakers

FOMC meeting dates are taken verbatim from the Federal Reserve's published calendar, including which meetings carry a Summary of Economic Projections. Fed speakers' appearances are sourced from the aggregated market-calendar feed.

Later in the year

Where an agency hasn't published next year's schedule yet, we project from the historical release pattern (e.g. CPI lands mid-month at 08:30 ET, payrolls on the first Friday). These carry the (est.) label until confirmed — see Freshness & quotes.
